Network Design
Link Professionals provide design of the following infrastructure
and systems for clients:
Voice cabling (legacy and new design)
Data cabling (legacy and new design)
Wireless LAN systems
Internet Access providers
Security cabling and camera systems
Card Reader cabling and systems
We provide a technical specifications document and plans detailing
the items above. The completed plans are stamped by an RCDD. The
document and plans are included into the construction documents
along with the electrical plans.
Integration and Support
Our Network engineers work for a variety of clients in the private
and public sectors, sometimes working as part of an in-house technical
support team, sometimes as the sole technical support. Network engineers
are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the networking
processes in an organization - implementing, managing and troubleshooting
existing network and system environments, and supporting a variety
of hardware. They ensure that the performance and availability of
the server and network infrastructure is maintained to the highest
standards in order that maximum productivity is achieved. We support
users by a variety of methods, and provide technical expertise to
users by verbal or written means. Engineers also are responsible
for the implementation, installation and configuration of systems,
and the administration and support of those systems. In larger organizations,
they connect offices and individual users at remote locations to
the corporate network.
Tasks typically involve some or all of the following:
Installing and supporting new server hardware and software network infrastructure
Maintaining the system – software and hardware
Allocating network resources
Providing technical support to a wide range of users
Ensuring all equipment complies with industry standards
Providing IT solutions
Managing IP addresses
Implementing and monitoring network security
Training users
Developing documentation, including user guides
Supervising staff
Undertaking project work
Working with other departments/business units
Issuing passwords and writing associated code
Introducing new technologies in server and infrastructure areas
Planning and implementing future developments
Advising on networking issues
Managing an organization's external communications with its clients and suppliers
Managing the website and keeping internal networks running
